Lakra returns to Senior India men hockey team

Hockey India today announced an 18-member senior men national team for the Six-Nation Invitational Tournament to be held in Valencia, Spain from June 27 to July 3. Sardar Singh will take over the mantle of Captain from PR Sreejesh for this tournament, which will also feature, Argentina, Germany, New Zealand, Ireland and hosts Spain.

Odisha defender Birender Lakra returned to the Indian team after an injury-related lay off. In the opening match on 27th June, India take on Germany.
